Meet Yasmeen!  K-8 Academic Math

Born and raised in Palo Alto, I am intimately familiar with the rigorous academic standards and the level of mastery required to excel in the area. I attended Hoover Elementary School, JLS Middle School, and Palo Alto High School. I earned my B.S.C. in Management Information Systems from Santa Clara University (SCU). Eager to dive deeper into topics such as Cloud Computing and Machine Learning, I spent another year at SCU to earn my Master of Science in Business Analytics.

My passion for teaching began early. I started my first teaching job as a horseback riding instructor the summer before my sophomore year of high school. Since then, I have expanded my teaching to academic subjects. I have a particular passion for working with younger students. I strive to foster their natural curiosity and follow a step-by-step approach. Every person has a unique way of learning and conceptualizing new material. I tailor my methods to fit the needs of each student, breaking down complex ideas and gradually building upon them to ensure thorough understanding before introducing more advanced concepts.

At my core, I am an animal lover. In my free time, I enjoy riding and training my horses, caring for my reptiles, and spending time with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Vivian.

Meet Neha !   SAT Prep ,  Calculus,  AI, Coding

I grew up in Cupertino and earned both my B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science (AI track) from Stanford University. Even at a young age, I loved large challenges. At age 14, I placed 8th in the Scripps National Spelling Bee out of 11 million students worldwide, the result of five years of dedication and hard work.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I love helping people learn, whether it's academic subjects or broader life skills. In high school, my first technology endeavor was an iOS app designed to help students improve their Spanish grammar through interactive speaking, listening, and reading activities. I later developed Autism BuddyBot, an AI-powered conversational companion to support individuals with autism in building socio-communicative skills. Over the years, I've also tutored a wide range of subjects including math and literature, always adapting my approach to fit each student's unique learning style.

I believe that everyone can succeed in math with the right mindset and guidance. My goal is to help students not just understand difficult concepts but also build lasting confidence in their abilities.

Meet Devin!  Physics, Calculus, Algebra 2, Geometry, Computer Science

Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, I attended Mounds Park Academy from 5th grade through high school before moving to the Bay Area to study Electrical and Computer Engineering at Santa Clara University. Having gone through rigorous academic programs myself, I understand firsthand how overwhelming school can feel - especially when juggling high expectations, packed schedules, and subjects that just don’t “click” in our brains.
Over the years, I’ve found strategies that allowed me to thrive despite feeling, at times, like I was just barely getting by. Whether it’s physics, calculus, computer science, or anything else, I focus on simplifying difficult concepts and fostering effective learning methods that help students work smarter and build their confidence. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions; every student learns differently. My job is to help you figure out what works best for you. It’s not about knowing everything, but about knowing how to approach problems with the right mindset and tools.
My passion for teaching also started early. After earning my black belt in Taekwondo at age 12, I spent many hours teaching and mentoring younger students at my gym throughout middle and high school. That experience taught me how to break down learning difficult techniques into manageable steps, as well as how to work with a wide range of personalities and learning styles. Whether a student needs patience, structure, encouragement, or just a fresh perspective, I try to meet them where they’re at and help them move forward with confidence.
Outside of tutoring, I’m a big fan of the outdoors. I enjoy hiking, camping, and playing sports. I’m also a lifelong gamer, and I’m currently developing my own video games.
